Weekly Report w/e 3 July 10
General seasonal trading and grain trades
Summertime is often quiet with lower trading volumes on most exchanges.
This means less big moves but it does mean that trades can be planned strategically and potential position trades planned and initiated.
This week the US Dollar has resumed its slide and there have been sell offs in Gold, Oil and other markets too.
Focusing in on some of the agricultural commodity markets which have been not traded too much this year is now looking interesting.
Wheat has gained 10% this week and Soybean also is showing signs of an impending breakout.
This would be a fairly low risk point to start testing the market with small position sizes to see if a long position can be established over the next few weeks.
The weekly chart for Soybean shows that below 900 we should be short the market, but as long as the trading range holds then a position can be started and added to above 1000.
